Dr. Grace N. Phillips is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 2023 from Cornell University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Kansas in 2017.

Dr. Phillips’ teaching and research interests are in law and economics, economics of crime, public economics, and health economics. Her work explores how public policy affects inequality and vulnerable populations' economic, health, and incarceration outcomes.

When Dr. Phillips is not working, she is spending time with her cat, Mochi, or in her community garden plot.
